The quality of higher education has been recognized around the world as one of the most important parameters for economic and social development. Globalization and the growing diversity of students have necessitated quality improvement initiatives at different institutions. Simply having mission and vision statements about quality is no longer adequate to meet stakeholders' increasing demand for quality. Higher education institutions are striving to achieve higher quality by developing innovative approaches and processes. By exploring quality assurance policies and standards around the world and examining factors that contribute to quality, such as motivation, learning styles, teaching styles, accreditation, and metacognition, <strong><em>Quality in Higher Education</em></strong><em> </em>provides the research and analysis needed to develop institutional initiatives to improve quality. Higher education administrators, policy makers, department chairs, faculty, and other stakeholders will be equipped with relevant theories and assessments to develop sustainable quality. Quality of higher education has become a global issue that is critical for developing human resources with superior intellectual abilities and skills needed to succeed in competitive global environment.
